We have just been informed that Lisa was awarded the female fighter of the year award by EFN/Urban Gorillaz for the previous years competitive season.

This takes in results for SENI 2007 up until SENI 2008.

SENI - DAY 2

Just received word from Neil.

Bri won the silver medal in the Purple belt master/senior featherweight category. Way to go Bri.
Speedy won gold in the brown belt master lightweight. Double bling for the Elliott's.

That's 2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze so far.

No news on any of the absolutes yet.

Quick Results from Day One.

Tyrone got Gold in Teen cat? ( the junior fights were all sorted out on the day so not sure what the cat was called ), Jez got Silver in the Blue Senior Middle Weight, Lisa got Silver in Blue Under 58kg, James got Bronze in Blue Super Super.

Jimmy, Ross, Neil, Dan, Martin all fought and all put on solid fights.

Dave and Brian fight today! The blue belt absolute will be today not sure which of the guys are entering it though.

No training tonight or Friday

As above really, tonight everyone is resting up for SENI and tomorrow Dave will be on his way down to London so no training on..

Gloves for sale - Sold.

Dave has some excellent twins gloves for sale, they are brand spanking new.. white 14oz gloves with a dragon logo on them. He's only after £25 for them, which is cheap for gloves of this quality, if your interested give him a shout

Last few days for SENI registration

For those who haven't registered for SENI yet, it needs doing by today (20th) to get the cheaper £30 rate, you can register up to the 23rd but it goes up to £40 so hurry up and get them in if you haven't already.

Koral Gi for sale

Well Jezzmeister has a white Koral (classic I believe) Gi for sale, it's an A3 and in practically new condition as it's too small for him. He's only after £60 for it too! - I'd get in there quick cos thats cheap. Speak to Jez at the club for more

Price changes

Due to a big increase in prices (which Dave only found out about last night!) from Elswick pool, Dave has had to increase the class and monthly prices to cover it, as from 1st May 2008 the new prices are as follows..

Kids single class - £2.00
Adults single class - £6.00
Unemployed/Student single class - £3.50

Monthly fees -

2 classes x week = £30/month
3 classes x week = £40/month
4 classes x week = £50/month
5 classes x week = £60/month

For 1-2-1 private classes with Dave it's changed to £20 per session with a 15% discount on block bookings (see Dave for more details).
