Rest day
Bit of a disapointing day yesterday for the Newcastle squad.
I got re-injured in the first fight of the day and couldn't continue. Gutted. I need to take this week off to recover and then I'm off to the States so I'll see you guys end of September.
Pete Irving was pipped by John Kavanagh and took Bronze after a solid performance and Ahsan didn't make the finals but got a sweet 'floppy armbar' that no one caught on camera.
Pete Tiarks scored a takedown with the biggest air I witnessed on the day, then was later caught in a JK 'tine. (joint 3rd).
Man I'm gonna be ready for this one next time. Those belts were nice and the competition was solid. Kudos to the event as a whole.
The road trip was fun anyhoo.

yeah i agree with ian, i defo wanna enter the next one and make sure i'm ready, was a good event on the whole.
Road trip was indeed fun, thanks to pete T for driving, putting us up in his parents house, and providing quality commentry for the video lol.
The road trip was a blast, kicking back with +AAA, Mr.T, Knockout Knox and the one and only Malone.
It's all on tape so maybe Ian could cut Ahsan's footage and knock up a mini documentary for the site. Possibly featuring some heavy duty Helio vs. Kimura style editing on some of the fights.

ol i got a lot of mean nicknames on this trip :(...it was like being back at school :p
I've passed on the video to Ian, who says he can put it on dvd and/or computer and cut it up and stuff. You get to understand why we should never disrespect the memory of Steve Irwin, the Randy Couture animal conspiracy, pit-stop gymnastics and the grappling of course.
What happened to Ahsan's magic? Triple A is an awesome nickname, you should Shonie Carter your Baseball cap with three A's in silver sequins.
