Ian, Ahsan and the two Pete's are at the Supreme National Grappling Championships in Wolverhampton today - good luck to the 4 of them. Ian and Ahsan are both in the under 63kg category so they'll have to share the gold medal and title belt.

(Is this the picture you were on about Speedy)

Lisa is also fighting MMA today at Pride and Glory in Catterick. Her opponent is Anna Halliday and the fight is in the under 50kg weight division.
(Found this really old Jiu Jitsu pic, hardcore training on concrete with a blanket for a mat. Must have been a no gi class as they're all wearing board shorts. Don't get why the priest is there though?)

Friday's training session at Elswick saw another new face in the class and he was treated to armbars, rear naked chokes, triangles with the forearm in and also rolling armbars.

Kieron posted on the message board that Lisa's fight didn't happen as the girl she was due to fight weighed in 5kg over.

There's a thread at SFUK with (very)incomplete results for the grappling comp. Looks like the two Petes took 3rd and 4th, no idea about Ian or Ahsan though.

Hi guys! I'll be back down on Thursday in hope to find some consistency. I can barely say the word let alone use it...! I hope to learn quickly and not risk being bullied this time. If I'm still in a one piece I’ll be down on the Friday too after making my come-back on the Wednesday at the Sor Thanikul before attending Muay Thai and facing Barry on Saturday! *shivers* Hope you’ve all been well and I look forward to catching up with you all again ;0)

yeah the 2 Pete's shared bronze, ian lost his first fight on points as he did his back in (again) and couldnt continue the tourney, richie knox won his first fight but lost his next 3 (he had a tough division) and I cacked up and lost my first 3 and won my last one (which didnt get recorded, damn! lol). Was a good event, although the reffing was very iffy at times in my opinion. see y'all on monday.
